“Overwhelm” is a visual embodiment of the sensory and cognitive deluge that characterizes the feeling of being overwhelmed. The interlocking blue lines crowd the canvas, their varying shades from light to dark blue mirroring the intensity and layering of stimuli that can inundate a person’s mind.

As a part of the ADHD Brain Coral series, this piece conveys the weight and beauty of a mind besieged by a multitude of thoughts and feelings. The overlapping forms speak to the complexity of navigating through a sea of constant mental activity, each wave of color a different voice or sensation vying for attention.
